Breeze

Support

Breeze is made by one person, so support is an email address rather than a helpdesk — but every message is read and answered.

Email

[email protected]

Usually answered within a few days. Including your iPhone model and iOS version helps for anything that looks like a bug. Please do not send health data — it is never needed to answer a question, and nothing about Breeze requires us to see it.

Common problems

A reminder did not arrive
Reminders are scheduled and delivered by iOS on the device, so they survive the app being closed but not notifications being switched off. Check iOS Settings → Notifications → Breeze, and confirm the reminder is still enabled inside the app. Focus modes and Low Power Mode can also delay delivery.
Apple Health is not showing sleep or steps
Breeze reads sleep and step count only, and only after you tap Connect Apple Health. If the Today screen shows nothing, open iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Breeze and confirm both categories are allowed. Breeze never writes to Health, so nothing you see there was put there by this app.
I need my data on a new phone
Export first, from Me → Export data. Because nothing is uploaded anywhere, there is no cloud copy and no account to sign into — the export file is the only way to carry your history across devices. Do it before deleting the app or wiping the old phone.
I deleted data by mistake
It cannot be recovered. The same design that keeps your health data off every server also means we hold no backup of it. If you have an earlier export file, that is the only copy that exists.
A purine value looks wrong
Please tell us. Every value on this site and in the app is reproduced from a named published source, so a wrong number is either a transcription error on our side or a disagreement between databases — both worth knowing about. Email the food and the value you believe is correct, and we will check it against the source and correct or explain it.
The app is not on the App Store yet
Breeze is in TestFlight beta while it is finished. TestFlight builds expire 90 days after upload, so if a build has lapsed you may need to wait for the next one. The purine database, calculator and comparison tools on this website are free and need no app at all.

Reporting a security or privacy concern

Mail the same address with “security” in the subject. Breeze has no accounts, no server and no user data to breach, but if you have found something that contradicts that, it is exactly what we want to hear about.
